About Me
I love photography. I have since the day my art teacher introduced me to the dark room back in high school! I put that love on hold to pursue a bigger dream, and joined the Marine Corps. Now that I’ve retired from that, I have decided to make my hobby a career! There is nothing in this world I love more than my family and my friends. And I love to capture every day moments with them so those memories will last forever! This is something I truly love doing, and I want to share that passion with others!

You may be wondering about the name of my small business.... When I decided to turn photography into a business I needed a name. Everyone uses their actual name for theirs. I wanted something different. Not that Rj isn't different or original, but something that would stand out. I love butterflies. They are gorgeous, elegant, free, calming, exciting, and so many other things. Well, my (at the time) 5 year old knew this. And when he would draw mom a butterfly, he would label it 'Buderfly'. It was too cute, and perfect. So I kept it! And that is how Buderfly Photography got it's name.
I love all types of photography. But if I HAD to choose a favorite it would be littles and spots! I love a little chaos and a bit of a challenge! A smile a day fills the heart with joy. I also love getting creative- so don't hesitate to ask for customs! I love to photograph and almost always have my camera with me- because there's always an opportunity to save some memories.
Because every photo has a story to tell!
